Our 3rd stop in Thailand was Chiang Mai. This beautiful city was a surprise for us since we did not expect that we would love it so much!
On our first night, we stayed at Siri Panna Villa Resort which is located right in the center of Chiang Mai. It is a boutique hotel with a feeling of secret garden in the middle of the city. The hotel has Thai influence in architecture and it has 104 rooms. Some of the rooms have access to the pool from their terraces.
Siri Panna’s pool was designed resembling to the lost city Wiang Kum Kam’s Mae Ping River. The pool has square shape where in the middle there is a bar and tanning area surrounded by beautiful palm trees.Very exotic! I had a chance to use my drone to photograph it from the above.
Siri Panna’s breakfast is served at Lanna Room where they also serve lunch and dinner. They have a very reasonable dinner buffet in which they serve traditional Chiang Mai region dishes, Thai classical tastes and also international cuisine. Their moctails are delicious. Dont forget to try!
I had one of my best massages at Siri Panna’s Panna Spa. Covering a huge area, the spa offers several types of massages from Thai to Swedish and aromatic. The rooms have Thai touches. They are very relaxing. The spa treatment starts with foot bath. They put on special herbs to make your feet relax. The massage I had was so good that I fell a sleep right away! I had Panna Flora Gems Compress Massage. Prefect!
Siri Panna is very special to me even though I stayed there only one night. This because I had rice planting experience for the first time in my life. Yes you got it right! The hotel has its own rice fields and they offer their guests to experience the rice planting.
So we wore traditional clothers and hat and jumped into the clay filled rice fields. It was a little uncomfortable for me since I didnt like the feeling of stepping on muddy water with bare feet. I could only stay in there 5 minutes however it was such a unique experience for me. Loved it! Thank you Siri Panna!
