Our second address in Phuket was Sri Panwa Resort which is located in the south east part of the island. I liked the hotel when I saw the photos of its months ago but when I see it in reali I fell in love!
The resort is built on a the hills of Panwa peninsula overlooking both west and east Andaman Sea. There are 52 villas and suite rooms called penthouses. The villas are surrounded by a rain forest. The villas and penthouses have their own pools.
Our 1 bedroom penthouse had also its own private pool. It was facing to the main pool of the hotel. It had its own American Kitchen with a Smec refrigerator and a nespresso machine. All the items in the refrigerator were free of charge including Phuket Beer. The room was surrounded with ipod music system with coolest playlists in it. The lights and the shutters were adjusted from the screen touch panels around the rooms. This was the most modern and technologic rooms that I have ever stayed recently. There was a very stylish bathtub in the bathroom that you would never stop photographing. I would stay here the whole day if I didnt have to see around the island.
The hotel’s spa, restaurants, villas and bars are spread all over the peninsula. So if you want you can ask for a Tuk Tuk ride to go one of the restaurants or other places within the hotel. There is an infinty pool at Baba Nest rooftop bar. There is another at Baba Pool Club and also another one on the way yo the beach. You hear the lounge music all aorund the property which I like some much.
The hotels rooftop bar is called “Baba Nest”. It offers one of the best views in Phuket. It was selected as one of top 3 bars in the world in 2011. You have to make a reservation to watch the famous sunset here. You need to spend minimum 500 Bahts per person at the bar. The view would be amazing if the sky is clear however when we were there it was a little rainy and the weather was mostly cloudy. Even though the view was still amazing.
The Resort has a Chinese, a Thai and a Steakhouse restaurant. We tired the steakhouse for lunch on our first day at the resort and had a burger. The burger’s meat was made of Australian beef which was delicious.
The Spa is called “Cool”. Other than being cool as its name, the design of it was gorgeous as well.
Sri Panwa is perfect for families and honeymooners. When we were staying at Sri Panwa, there were also a lot of young people staying there. The beach is kind of far from the rooms. You have to go down more than 100 steps to reach the beach. Also here the low tide is very strong from morning to late afternoon. However, the infinity pools of this cool resort would be a reason to go back there!
